TACO CABANA HOSTS ANNUAL TACO TREAT FUNDRAISER IN OCTOBER
Proceeds from fundraiser benefit Austin Children’s Shelter; free tacos on Oct. 4
Taco Cabana brings back its annual Taco Treat fundraiser in October to support local children’s charities, including Austin Children’s Shelter, in each of its markets. Throughout the month, Austin-area Taco Cabana locations will sell $1 coupon treat books, good for five free bean and cheese tacos and a buy-one-get-one Dr Pepper fountain drink – a $7 value. Every dollar from each treat book sold will go to the charity.
And, in honor of National Taco Day, Tuesday, Oct. 4, Taco Cabana will give each guest who comes into the restaurant from 5-8 p.m. one free Chicken Fajita Taco, while supplies last. No purchase or coupon is necessary.
“Each October, it’s our mission at Taco Cabana to inspire and create good in the communities we serve through our Taco Treat fundraiser,” said Taco Cabana Vice President of Marketing Jack Civa. “This year, we’re teaming up with children’s charities, like the Austin Children’s Shelter, to increase awareness and support for those who care for the displaced and underserved children of Texas.”
The Austin Children’s Shelter is dedicated to serving children and young adults so that they have the opportunity to grow into happy, responsible and fulfilled adults. Austin Children’s Shelter is a safe space for local children to begin to heal and learn to thrive after hardships.
“We believe that every child deserves to feel safe and our programs are made possible through generous contributions from our community,” said Austin Children’s Shelter Executive Director of Campus-based Intervention Services and Vice President of The SAFE Alliance Stacy Bruce. “We want to express our sincere thanks for support that the Austin community and Taco Cabana have given us.”
